Testimonials

This place and Erika and all the workers shine for me. The healthy good food means so much to me. It makes this life easier and I want to tell you Thank You so much. Love, Lori

Without a kitchen we are unable to cook for ourselves, forced to eat $1 menu fast food and bland canned “feed” food. Erika’s shared meal delights my taste buds and brings me to tears. I savor every bite, where as I usually shovel and run at other “feeds”. Honestly, your meals give me something to not only look forward to, but to live for! Thank you, Jenny

I would like to thank everyone involved with this group because when I was homeless and in the shelter I knew once a week i could look forward to a wonderful healthy meal. Plus the love and support of the members because when your in that situation it means so much just to know people do care and love you. I can say from experience that because of this group and its members it made a horrible situation better. I thank our Lord above for the group and the members of Radical Love for helping the homeless people of our area.

I’ve been at home, mostly in bed, and missed three days of my helping in sharing a meal with my friend Erika of Radical Love and the rest of my beautiful friends. I feel very grateful and, during my times of being Homeless, I wished I was able to have Radical Love there to help in providing me with healthy nutritional foods. My concerns were eating because of my medications. I get real sick if I don’t eat or not enough. Being lactose intolerant also limited. So when I was able to cook or was able to have a cooked meal it was a blessing. After a while, free Friday night pizza shared with the homeless in California got to be too much yet I peeled the cheese off and handed it to my cheese loving brother or sister and ate the pepperoni and bread. Sweets, cupcakes, pastries are very accessible from the Dollar Stores and Food Banks. They made me feel sluggish even more. White processed sugar made me feel ill. I’m getting better at eliminating it all around, even my soda. I know th…

What this means to me. This means to me a great meal with friends and a healthy meal. Happy Times.

When one lives without color or any sort of stimulus life gets dull and boring. Add color and flavor to life, it becomes exciting and meaningful and gives one reason to be, even if we have nowhere to be.

To have these opportunities to eat healthy food and speak with Erika is an amazing part of my life. I come away from these encounters feeling so positive and loved. To have a plate of healthy food makes me feel like I’m cared about. Plus, the healthy food fuels my body in such a positive way. Erika is such an amazing woman. She speaks to me in a non-judgemental way. It reinforces my belief that there are great people who still care.
Erik
This meal sharing program rocks because it serves only healthy food. Many people who don’t have homes are diabetic and need to eat wisely, but aren’t able to, because when you don’t have a kitchen and don’t have cash, it’s hard to eat right. Thanks to Erika, two times a week you can count on healthy, nutritious and delicious food in Kelso/Longivew!
